CCS FAQs

HOW DO I APPLY? The process begins with completing all forms in the application package accompanied by the required enrollment fees. The application process for new students is complete after testing and interviewing for admission is held. A student accepted for enrollment in one year is not automatically eligible for enrollment on any succeeding year.

IS COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL ACCREDITED? CCS is an interdenominational Christian school and is registered as a non-public school, accredited through the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). ACSI is recognized by the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA) and the Florida Association of Academic Non-Public Schools (FAANS). As an accredited school, CCS graduates gain acceptance to the public and private colleges of their choice.

WHO ARE YOUR TEACHERS? Faculty members hold degrees from some of the finest colleges and universities in the United States. Each teacher is a dedicated Christian committed to the task of teaching and to the philosophy of CCS. Each faculty member is fully-certified by the Association of Christian Schools International, and many are Florida state certified as well.

WHAT CURRICULUM DO YOU USE? Community Christian Schools uses a blend of many curriculums – Christian and secular. Using Christian curriculum that presents material from a Biblical worldview is of utmost importance to the administration at CCS. Also important is an academically challenging curriculum that ensures the highest level of learning. Careful consideration is made in choosing quality curriculum without compromising our Christian philosophy of education.

WHAT ARE YOUR SCHOOL HOURS?

Preschool (K3 and K4): 8:00 am – 12noon

Elementary School (Kindergarten – 5th Grade) 8:00 am – 2:30 pm

Upper School (6th – 12th Grade) 8:00 am – 2:45 pm

DO YOU PROVIDE BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL CARE? Mustang Before and After Care is open every school day beginning at 7:15 am and running until 6:00 pm. Before-care is a free service offered to our families. After-care is a fee-based service that can be paid for on a monthly or as-needed basis.

DO THE STUDENTS WEAR UNIFORMS? All students are required to wear uniforms to school each day. (See School uniform section on our website for more information)

DO YOU HAVE A LUNCH PROGRAM? CCS provides a full service cafeteria with a selection of nutritious foods that enable students to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Students are also allowed to bring their own lunch.

DO YOU HAVE AN ATHLETIC PROGRAM? The athletic program at Community Christian School exists to provide its students-athletes the opportunity and competitive environment to use their God given athletic talents to glorify Jesus Christ. CCS is a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA).
